Glad it was useful! I will make sure to tell my daughter people enjoyed it. I used it myself for the first time last night.

We started Mutant Future and so I allowed three rolls each for some junk the players had accumulated over their lifetime.

Great stuff Carl, thank you! I'm off to generate some detail on the town they'll be visiting.

I've taken inspiration from your Mutant Future campaign, particularly the whole background story behind the apocalypse. It just seemed more believable than the normal radiation driven mutations.

I've had some serious fun coming up with mutated names for local places! And I've managed to put our starting village on a hill that actually does have an underground NATO military base right next to it.

Here are some other links:

A pretty cool random junk generator for the Deadlands game, you input how many items you want and it generates them, you can set the rarity of the items, how large they are, and how much they are worth. Here is the link:

http://hoe.whatt.us/index.php?page=ranjunk

Another gem from the same site, possibly the single coolest free thing I have ever found on the internet (and that is saying a lot): a random settlement generator, complete with a description of what happened to the town in the apocalypse, what goods are available, what the local laws are, the local government, and randomly generated npcs! This one is pure gold!

Have you checked out Aeons & Augauries blog? He has LOTS of great material for Mutant Future, including new races that are pretty awesome. This is one of my favorite things that he has done, a list of events that could happen on the street in a ruined city.

http://aeonsnaugauries.blogspot.com/2009/08/crumbling-ruined-street-events.html

One more thing from the same blog, a list of non-medieval weapons like hockey sticks and such that would be commonly available in the aftermath of the apocalypse:

Have Fun!

Awesome! Good luck with your campaign. I know that this random junk generator will help! I have some useful links that I will have to dig up and pass on to you, when I get home from work I will do so.
